A position as Education Officer is available at the Neuroscience Academy Denmark (NAD). The academy is the collaboration between the four health faculties at University of Copenhagen, Aarhus University, University of Southern Denmark and Aalborg University.

Job description
The Education Officer will be employed at Department of Neuroscience in the NAD Office and will refer to the scientific director. You will have responsibility for the development and continuous improvement of the NAD pre-PhD year program. The primary focus of the role is to support and further develop the educational programme in neuroscience for NAD fellows and the Danish neuroscience environments.

Tasks include

  • Maintain the NAD portfolio of educational activities
  • Follow-up and/or take initiatives to new PhD courses to provide PhD students enrolled in neuroscience at one of the participating Faculties with the best options for research training and education.
  • Practical and administrative support of PhD courses and workshops
  • Administrative support to the NAD Education and Training Committee
  • Evaluation of NAD activities
  • Collaboration with the PhD schools

About you
You have a master's or PhD degree in biomedical sciences. You have teaching experience in neuroscience and neuro-related subjects. You have experience within university education, development of course curricula, and course administration. In addition, experience with new teaching principles and implementation such as principles in higher education is an advantage.

Experience with research techniques applied in neuroscience is advantageous, and knowledge of the Danish neuroscience community is an advantage.

Fluency in English. Fluency in Danish will be an advantage.

Terms of employment
The position is full-time fixed term for four years. Starting date is 1 May 2026. Salary, pension and terms of employment will be in accordance with the agreement between the Danish Ministry of Finance and AC (the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations) as an academic employee or special consultant depending on your qualifications. Depending on qualifications, a supplement may be negotiated.
