Housekeeping Supervisor - Motel One Copenhagen

About the Position

We’re looking for a Housekeeping Supervisor to join our new team at Motel One in Copenhagen. This is a hands-on role where you’ll be part of the daily operation while also stepping into a leadership role when needed.

This is a dual-role position:
You will work as part of the housekeeping team on a daily basis, while also stepping into a supervisory role when needed (weekends, holidays, and when the manager is not on site).

The Role

You are part of the housekeeping team, while also stepping into a supervisory role when needed.

1. Housekeeping

This is the core of the job—you’ll spend most of your time working as part of the team.

You will:

• Clean rooms to a high and consistent standard
• Work efficiently in a fast-paced, physically active environment
• Contribute to a positive and respectful team atmosphere
• Lead by example through your attitude, quality, and work ethic

2. Supervising

When the Manager is not present and on scheduled weekends, you step into a supervisory role.

You act as the manager’s right hand - both when leading the shift and supporting daily operations when the manager is on site.

You will:

• Take ownership of the operation during your shift
• Prepare and adjust daily task sheets and room assignments
• Coordinate priorities with Front Office
• Act as the main point of contact during your shift
• Support team members and solve problems
• Keep communication clear and reliable

How You Work

You take pride in your work and lead by example.

You bring structure and calm to the team - even when things are busy. You:

• Communicate clearly and respectfully
• Follow up and ensure agreed standards are consistently met
• Take responsibility when something needs to be solved
• Support your colleagues and help them succeedin their work
• Contribute to a positive team culture

About You

We are looking for someone who already has experience in housekeeping and is ready to take on more responsibility.

You:

• Are used to taking the lead and helping others perform at their best
• Are structured, detail-oriented, and maintain a good overview
• Bring positive energy and focus on results
• Are reliable and follow through on what you start
• Communicate clearly and respectfully, even under pressure
• Value working with people from different cultures and backgrounds

You should also:

• Have experience in housekeeping
• Be available to work typically between 08:00–16:00
• Be able to work every second weekend and some holidays
• Work approximately 25-30 hours per week
• Have familiarity with hotel systems (Opera, Teams, Planday) - preferred
• Fluency in English is required; other language skills are a bonus.
