Background
AVK International A/S is experiencing an increasing number of valve inquiries for the mining sector, which is largely driven by the ongoing transition from fossil to more sustainable energy sources incl. new technologies. AVK International A/S is, therefore, interested in exploiting and develop valve sales within the mining industry in Greenland, especially as mining activities are expected to surge in the coming decades.
Search
We are therefore looking for a candidate in Greenland who:
• has a broad technical and hands-on experience gained in the Greenlandic mining sector. (Preferably with min. 5 years of experience in the sector from e.g.
a company specialized in mine management, production, infrastructure/ construction and/ or maintenance)
• has a good knowledge of mining technology, incl. valves and other related products/ equipment, i.e. their application, operation and service.
(Practical on-site mining experience would be a plus)
• can assist mining companies with technical matters incl. Finding the best valve solutions for customer inquiries and is acquainted with visiting mining sites and possibly inspecting the correct installation of the valves at the end user.
• can match the correct AVK products to be quoted based on technical specifications stated in the inquiry and elaborate the quotation
(Intensive courses will be provided at AVK Group companies)
• has already homebase in Greenland e.g. in Nuuk, and with regular visits domestically and to AVK International A/S in Galten in Denmark
• speaks Inuit (Kalaallisut), Danish and/or English
• has machinist degree or equivalent and with a commercial flair
• is empathetic, self-driven, with an eye for details and goal-oriented
