The position
As a Logistics Coordinator you will be responsible for coordinating and managing the transportation, and delivery of equipment and materials for power plant projects globally. You will be based in our head office in Allerød.
This role is essential in ensuring the efficient and timely movement of critical components to project sites globally, maintaining a seamless flow within our supply chain. The Logistics Coordinator will work closely with internal project teams, suppliers, and external logistics partners to ensure timely execution of all logistics activities while adhering to budgetary constraints.
Key responsibilities will be:
- Transport Coordination: Organize, plan, and oversee the transportation of equipment, materials, and components required for power plant construction projects, ensuring they arrive on time and in proper condition.
- Supply Chain Support: Work closely with procurement-, spare parts - and project management -teams to schedule and coordinate the movement of goods based on project timelines and needs.
- Vendor & Supplier Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other logistics partners to ensure a reliable and cost-effective service.
- Project Logistics Planning: Collaborate with project managers to develop detailed logistics plans and schedules for the movement of equipment and materials, ensuring compliance with project deadlines and safety regulations.
- Documentation & Compliance: Prepare and review all necessary shipping and customs documentation, ensuring compliance with local and international laws, as well as BWSC's policies.
- Problem-Solving & Issue Resolution: Address and resolve logistics-related issues, such as shipment delays, damages, or customs clearance challenges, in a timely and efficient manner.
- Cost Management & Reporting: Monitor logistics costs to ensure projects are delivered within budget.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving logistics processes and work to implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality or timelines.
Qualifications
We foresee that the ideal candidate is a skilled logistics professional who takes initiative, works independently, and contributes to efficient and reliable project execution in a dynamic environment.
- You have an educational background in Shipping, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- You bring 3–5 years of experience within logistics, shipping, or supply chain coordination – ideally from a project-based or industrial environment.
- You have experience managing international transport and project logistics and understand how to align logistics activities with project schedules.
- You have a solid understanding of customs regulations, international shipping procedures, and global supply chains.
- You are proficient in logistics management systems such as IFS, Novacura, or other TMS/WMS tools.
- Knowledge of regulations related to hazardous materials is an advantage.
- You work in a structured and detail-oriented way, maintaining an overview even when handling several tasks simultaneously.
- You approach challenges with a practical and solution-focused mindset.
- You communicate clearly and collaborate effectively with colleagues, suppliers, and partners across different functions and locations.
- You thrive in a setting where priorities can shift, and flexibility and teamwork are essential to success.
- You are a team player with good interpersonal skills and a professional, supportive approach to collaboration.
