Put your technical skills to work for a great purpose. Join our team of energy experts and play a pivotal role in supporting Kenya’s future energy landscape. Your technical skills and expert knowledge will be instrumental in supporting the Kenyan government partners in developing national power sector and energy plans.

About the Job We are seeking a profile with solid experience in long-term energy planning and power system modelling with experience from the Danish energy sector. You will join our bilateral Kenya-Denmark Energy Partnership as an expert with the purpose of sharing your know-how and best-practices within power sector modelling and energy planning. You will be stationed at the Ministry of Energy and Petroleum (MOEP) and work with cross-government group of modelling experts in Kenya while having a close dialogue and cooperation with the DEA and the RDE.

The LCPDP group consists of more than 40 government staff representing generation, transmission, distribution, and regulation as well as relevant stakeholders in the electricity sector. We utilize Danish experience within energy modelling and long-term planning to support our Kenyan partners and build competences in relevant tools.

You will work on sharing good practice and principles of energy planning as well as hands-on training in operating energy models, developing scenarios, analyzing model results and assist the Kenyan partners in formulating concrete policy recommendations to decision-makers in Kenya.
