Join Our Vibrant and Inclusive Teaching Team at International School Ikast-Brande

International School Ikast-Brande (ISIB) is seeking enthusiastic and adaptable qualified teachers to join our pool of substitute (Vikar) staff, covering classes across Early Years, Primary, and Secondary as required.

This is a flexible role with varied demand — some days no cover may be needed, while on other days you may be called in at short notice. It is an excellent opportunity for educators who enjoy variety, can adapt quickly to different age groups and subjects, and are committed to maintaining a positive learning environment.

Who are we?

ISIB is located in the heart of Denmark and currently serves approximately 200 students across the Primary and Secondary sections, as well as Early Years. We are proud of our diverse and welcoming community, with students and staff from a wide range of cultural backgrounds. Our aim is to balance academic excellence with wellbeing, creativity, and ethical values, helping students grow into responsible global citizens.

As a substitute teacher at ISIB, you will:

  • Be available in the morning (8.00 starts) to cover staff absences
  • Deliver engaging lessons, following provided plans where available
  • Adapt to different year groups and subject areas with confidence
  • Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Uphold school policies and maintain continuity of learning

Salary

Salary will be in accordance with the collective agreement and union contract between the Ministry of Finance and the Teachers’ Central Organisation.
