Are you driven by research that matter for the climate and the future of agriculture?
Join a dynamic and hands-on research team investigating greenhouse gas emissions from manure systems. The work combines field experiments, laboratory analyses, and modelling to produce science that can change practice and reduce the climate footprint of livestock production.
We are searching for two candidates for 2-year full-time positions, starting March 1, 2026, or as soon as possible thereafter.
Expected start date and duration of employment
This is a 2–year position from March 1, 2026 or as soon possible.
Job description
We invite applications for a 2-year postdoctoral position with the possibility of extension. The successful candidate will lead experimental campaigns and data analysis to quantify greenhouse gas emissions under farm conditions. Key responsibilities
- Design and conduct experiments.
- Operate and maintain gas measurement equipment and flux chambers.
- Process, analyze, and visualize large data sets using Matlab, R, Python, or similar tools.
- Contribute to scientific papers, project reports, and stakeholder outreach.
- Collaborate with farmers, technicians, and research colleagues.
Your profile
- Applicants should hold a PhD in a relevant field (e.g. environmental science, chemical or environmental engineering, atmospheric science, or agroecology).
- Proven experience with gas flux measurements and instrumentation (e.g. chamber methods, or other techniques).
- Strong data processing skills and experience with Matlab, R, Python, or similar.
- Experience with planning and running field measurement campaigns.
