Student Assistant in Research Group, Dept. of Math & CS, Odense

The University of Southern Denmark in Odense is looking for a student in computer science / data science / mathematics or comparable fields to assist us in development work for our joint project with the pathology at OUH.

Here, the student shall develop statistical and machine learning approaches to identify potential cancer on whole slide scans. The student contributes to the development of our algorithmic approaches and also contributes with the implementation of novel methods for the detection of cancer in tissues.

Knowledge and in best case hands-on experience in handling images in DICOM format and applications in pathology are welcome.

The applicant ideally has a track record in interdisciplinary collaborations. Solid experience in programming, mainly python is expected.

Please note, the selected candidate as Student Assistant must be enrolled as student at SDU.

Employment shall take place in accordance with the framework agreement between the Ministry of Finance and PROSA.
