Student Assistant – Project Communication – DTU Wind

DTU Wind Partnerships and Communications team support the communication of large, international research projects at the forefront of the wind and energy sector, and we are looking for 2 student assistants to join our team who can support our work.
The Role
As a student assistant in Partnerships and Communications, you will work closely with communication professionals and researchers at DTU Wind and Energy Systems. where you will have the opportunity to communicate the latest green research from one of the world's leading research environments in the field. Your role is to help turn advanced research into clear, engaging communication – across platforms, formats and audiences – ensuring that our projects are visible, accessible, and professionally presented. Together with our team, it is your job to plan, produce, and push impactful content and concepts.
The Tasks
You will also help defining this role, as your tasks will vary depending on the skills, experience, and interests you bring. You won’t be expected to master everything from day one, but you will have the opportunity to grow in the areas you’re motivated to learn.
Your tasks may include:
- Establishing and maintaining project websites for large international research projects
- Supporting the planning and execution of project communication activities, including researchers’ social media presence
- Producing and editing communication materials such as graphics, short videos, and text content
- Assisting with coordination across multiple projects, timelines, and stakeholders
- Contributing to the maintenance and development of the department website and intranet
We are looking for someone who
- Is currently enrolled in a relevant higher-education programme (e.g. communication, business administration, journalism, digital design or similar)
- Has a strong sense of quality and takes pride in delivering clear, well-crafted outputs - whether the task is large or small
- Communicates fluently in both written and spoken English
It is an advantage if you recognise yourself in some of the following:
- You have experience with graphic design, video, or digital content production
- You are comfortable writing and editing text in English for professional audiences
- You enjoy coordinating tasks and keeping an overview when several things happen at once
- You can communicate in Danish and have worked in Denmark beforehand
- You are motivated by contributing, through communication, to the green transition and sustainable energy solutions
What We Offer
We offer a student position where you gain practical experience with research communication in an international, high-impact environment. You will become part of a partnerships and communication team of nine people — including other student assistants — in a department with more than 450 employees from over 40 countries.
We value initiative, collaboration, and learning, and we offer an informal working environment with room to take responsibility and develop your skills over time. You will gain insight into how large research projects are communicated, coordinated, and positioned — nationally and internationally — within the green transition.
Salary and appointment terms
The appointment will be based on the multi-union collective agreement for the Organisations of Public Employees—Denmark (State) (OAO-S) and the trade union agreement for clerical staff etc. (HK/State).
Working hours are on average 15 hours per week and can be organized flexibly in relation to holidays, exams, etc. Starting date is 15 April 2026 (or according to mutual agreement). The employment runs as long as you are an active student.
The workplace is DTU Risø Campus near Roskilde with occasional workdays at DTU Campus Lyngby.
