Data Engineer - Azure Cloud Solutions at RDT Engineers
For the agile release train, SMART PLANT, our client is looking for a consultant that can work on their product portfolio that operates and develops products for their power plants. You’ll be part of an Agile Release Train where you, together with your colleagues, will be part of a scrum team and build the foundation for a future where predictive maintenance is providing increased value to their bioenergy division. The team consists of employees in Denmark and Malaysia and is part of a large global IT organization working with a SAFe agile mindset.

QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES
- Data Architecture and Modeling experience
- Experience with ETL Processes
- Experience with data integration tools such as Talend or similar for building and managing ETL workflows
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and C#
- Experience with scripting languages for automation and data manipulation
- Expertise in SQL databases
- Experience with data warehousing solutions
- Experience with cloud services for data storage and processing
- Experience with implementing data security measures and ensure compliance with data protection regulations
- Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot data-related issues
- Ability to optimize data processes for efficiency and performance.
- Work effectively with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders
- Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Familiarity with Linux and other operating systems for managing data operations
- Experience with the .NET framework for developing data-related applications and services
- Experience in setting up and managing CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment) pipelines to automate data workflows and application deployments
- Experience working in Agile environments, participating in sprints, and adapting to iterative development processes
- Professional level of English - both oral and written
- Valid EU work permit making you able to start right away
AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY
- Designing and building data pipelines for modern cloud-based analytics using the latest Azure technologies
- Working with complex datasets to be presented in a structured way to the business
- Defining data models
- Ensuring that data format and storage options are the best fit for end-user needs
- Optimizing data pipelines performance and security
- Design and implement scalable data architectures
- Develop and maintain data models to support analytics and reporting
- Design, develop, and manage ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes
- Ensure data quality and integrity throughout the data lifecycle
- Implementing data security measures and ensure compliance with data protection regulations
