You’ll play a key role in shaping the technical direction and helping define the tools and technologies we’ll build on. We also strongly believe that LLMs and AI in general can, and should, play an active role in modern software development, and we’re excited to explore that together with you.
What you’ll be doing:
- Design and evolve the platform: Define the foundations of our cloud-native setup and grow it as we scale from early prototype to supporting thousands of laundries worldwide
- Build developer experience: Provide self-service tooling, CI/CD pipelines, and reliable environments that empower your colleagues
- Introduce cloud-native practices progressively: Start simple and layer in orchestration, IaC, observability, and security as we grow.
- Contribute to a healthy engineering culture, including code quality, documentation, and DevOps practices
What you’ll bring:
- A background in computer science, software engineering, or similar, with exposure to distributed systems
- Experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, or similar), infrastructure as code (Terraform, Pulumi, or similar), observability practices (logging, metrics, tracing), and CI/CD pipelines and automation
- Awareness of security and compliance in cloud environments
- (Bonus): Comfort with databases, backend dev, real time data streaming or other infrastructure-adjacent disciplines
- You’re driven by curiosity and engagement, and the kind of person who thinks: “If it needs to be built, I’ll learn how” — whether it’s Kubernetes, dataflows, or something we haven’t thought of yet
Mezcada
Mezcada is JENSEN-GROUP’s next-generation software platform for industrial laundries worldwide, a hybrid MES/SCADA system that gives laundries full visibility into performance, bottlenecks, and energy consumption. It provides the data foundation needed to predict maintenance, optimize flow, and make better decisions on the laundry floor.
That said, you don’t need experience with industry, SCADA, or MES. In fact, we’re looking for someone who brings a fresh perspective and dares to question the assumptions the rest of us might take for granted.
The platform uses distributed edge computing and is continuously delivered to customer sites on-prem, as well as to the cloud for analysis and support. Machine and sensor data is collected via OPC-UA and MQTT and made available through a well-designed API, both to the customer and to the frontend.
