Omics Scientist/Customer Consultant at Biogenity

Biogenity is looking for a new Omics Scientist and Customer Consultant.

The job descriptionWe are seeking a new colleague to join us in supporting scientists from various industries, including pharmaceutical, biotech, food technology, and academia, in their omics research projects.

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual with a passion for Omics and customer consulting. The role requires you have experience within at least one of following areas: transcriptomics, metabolomes or proteomics. This includes knowledge of sample requirements, different approaches to sample analysis, and hands-on experience with data interpretation and analysis. You also need to be experienced R user, as the work include execution, optimization and development of analytical pipelines in R or python.

The role includes regular client meetings, where you will help identify needs, present suitable analysis strategies, and guide customers toward a decision. You should be motivated to grow in a role that combines scientific expertise with structured client dialogue and responsibility for incoming projects.

Your work will primarily consist of consultating and analysing omics data.

Your primary tasks will include:

  • Customer Communication
  • Communication with Subcontractors
  • Participation in scientific discussions
  • Bioinformatics support
  • Staying à jour with the latest trends within omics

Our expectations of you
To be considered for this position, you should hold an MSc or Ph.D. in a relevant field such as biotechnology, molecular biology, or bioinformatics. You shall be comfortable working independently and as a part of a team and should have excellent organizational skills, as you will be a part of multiple projects simultaneously. Proficiency in English is also necessary, as Biogenity operates in the global market, and English is the main language used in the office.

You should be motivated to develop your skills in scientific consultation and sales, including structured dialogue and client relationship management. No prior experience in sales is required – what matters most is your motivation to grow into a customer-facing role and your willingness to learn.

Today, Biogenity has a series of omics fee-for-service. Here, we offer research analysis to identify, list, and characterize proteomes, metabolomes, and transcriptomes.

About the positionThe position is a full-time role (funktionæransættelse) with a weekly requirement of 37 hours. It is set to begin on October 1, 2025, and you will be working at our Aalborg office.
