Python Django Developer - Clinical Trials Data Capture at Rigshospitalet

Overview At the Department of Intensive Care, Rigshospitalet, we’ve built a modern electronic data-capture (EDC) system to support ongoing clinical trials in the unit (www.incept.dk). We’re looking for a highly motivated software developer to maintain and extend this platform with new features. You’ll join a multidisciplinary team with both medical and technical expertise.

What you’ll do

  • Develop modern web applications across the front end and back end
  • Collaborate closely with clinical staff to align features with real-world workflows
  • Work with data scientists and statisticians to integrate downstream analytics
  • Contribute to database design and performance
  • Ship reliable, maintainable code with clear documentation and tests

What we’re looking for

  • 2+ years of hands-on software development experience
  • Strong Python skills, with production experience in Django
  • Solid database design and management skills (Oracle preferred)
  • Front-end experience with JavaScript, htmx, HTML, and CSS
  • Experience building and running containerised applications (Podman preferred)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with security best practices
  • Experience with CI/CD
  • Experience working with clinical data
  • Knowledge of Redis and Django-components
  • Knowledge about middle-out compression and a big sense of humor
  • Some Danish language competencies

Employment terms The position is full-time (37 hours per week). Employment and remuneration are in accordance with the current collective agreement between the Capital Region of Denmark and the relevant professional organization. The place of work is Rigshospitalet, Blegdamsvej, Copenhagen.
