About FLC:
Femern Link Contractors (FLC) are responsible for the design and construction of the immersed tunnel, cut & cover tunnel, portals and ramps on both ends of the immersed tunnel, in Rødbyhavn and Puttgarden.
FLC is looking for a Works Manager to be responsible for, and manage, the construction of the Toll Plaza buildings and works related to concrete access tunnel, canopy, toll booths etc. The Works Manager will be reporting directly to the Tunnel, Portal and Ramps (TPR) Division Manager who is responsible for the landside works on Lolland.
The ideal candidate has experience in managing building construction works mainly using Danish subcontractors and shall also have some experience in civil works.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Enforce high standards of Health & Safety and Quality on site based on our QHSE (Quality, Health & Safety, Work environment) procedures with the assistance of the QHSE department.
- Ensure collaborative approach with other departments and experienced colleagues from Contracts, Procurement, HR, Project Control departments.
- Contractually and commercially deal with subcontractors.
- Contract negotiations with Owner (bygherre) together with the immediate manager.
- Prepare and manage budgets.
- Monitor performance against prepared construction schedule.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor or Master degree in civil engineering with minimum of 10 years professional work experience.
- Experience with Danish standards and regulation within building construction and design build projects.
- High motivation and a hands-on and practical approach.
- A leader and ability to motivate and manage a construction team.
- Fluent in Danish - speaking and writing.
- Good in English - speaking and writing.
