Part-Time Project Management Assistant - SEAFAIRER Decarbonization

If you are looking to contribute to the decarbonisation of maritime shipping, this is an ideal project and part-time position for you. At DTU Chemical Engineering, as part of SEAFAIRER (Horizon Europe Innovation Action), you will support the project management team in breaking new ground at the forefront of advanced biofuel technologies to decarbonise maritime shipping.

The job

The SEAFAIRER project, an Innovation Action funded by Horizon Europe, aims to demonstrate, at Technology Readiness Level (TRL 7), the production of improved intermediate biofuels - and an alternative pathway through integration in existing refinery infrastructure - to deliver climate-positive drop-in biofuels for maritime transport. 

You will have an important role in supporting the Project Manager and the Project Coordinator, as well as other internal and external project stakeholders, with project administration, reporting duties, and day-to-day execution of 

Your main tasks are to:

  • Collaborate with and report to the Project Management team to support with project oversight and execution
  • Support the Project Management team with the coordination of consortium meetings and facilitate clear communication among partners
  • Provide administrative, operational, and technical assistance to partners for project-related issues
  • Help organise and assist in the planning of meetings, seminars, workshops, and other project-relevant activities and events;
  • Support the Project Management team with knowledge on relevant technical and market areas (e.g. biofuels; maritime shipping regulations) and inform the project team.
  • Support the project-relevant documentation for justifying expenses, progressing towards milestones and submitting deliverables;
  • Facilitate network building with researchers, industry professionals, government actors, and other stakeholders.

Our expectations of you

We expect you to have:

  • a M.Sc. or B.Sc. (equivalent or higher) in a STEM field or equivalent economics;
  • demonstrated project management skills and relevant industry experience will be prioritised;
  • familiarity with Horizon Europe Programme and previous experience under this programme;
  • strong communication and personal interaction skills;
  • excellent communication skills in written and spoken English; additional languages are highly appreciated

Salary and appointment terms

The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations. The allowance will be agreed upon with the relevant union.

The position is for 10 hours per week.
