Are you passionate about building high-impact partnerships that drive meaningful social change? Do you have solid experience with major grant and partnership processes including securing funding from foundations and institutional donors? Do you have a strong background in programme development? If so, we would be delighted to hear from you. SOS Børnebyerne is seeking a dynamic and strategic Resource Mobilisation Advisor to strengthen our pipeline with foundations and institutional donors. You will play a key role in supporting our mission and securing funding that enables us to create lasting, positive change for children and young people who have lost parental care or are at risk of losing it. What You’ll do: As our Resource Mobilisation Advisor, you will:

  • Build and strengthen donor relationships with selected partners through continuous engagement.
  • Engage with colleagues in Denmark and partner countries to ensure that resource mobilization and business development is conducted in line with strategic and operational priorities.
  • Support assessments, including feasibility, risks and potential of funding opportunities within the Danish donor market and in alignment with the SOS Børnebyernes 2030 Strategy.
  • Support the development of funding proposals, write narrative proposals, and ensure compliance with donor requirements and expectations.
  • Support with technical expertise in proposal development processes and ensure compliance with new awards.
  • Support and manage partnerships with foundations and other relevant donors.
  • Ensure high-quality reporting and donor stewardship, showcasing the impact of our work.

What we’re looking for

  • A relevant degree in social or political sciences, finance and economics, and/or development studies.
  • Minimum 7 years of proven experience with resource mobilization within the development and/or humanitarian sector.
  • Technical experience in business development and proposal writing for multiple different types of donors.
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of the Danish donor market, especially on institutional donors and foundations.
  • Excellent communication in English, coordination and networking skills.
  • Hands-on experience in programme design or implementation within the development or humanitarian sector.
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to turn complex challenges into compelling opportunities.
  • Ability to travel up to 30 days annually.
  • Sharing the values and aims of SOS Børnebyerne and a strong commitment to human rights, core humanitarian standards and diversity, equity and inclusion.

Employment terms and compensation

  • Salary in accordance with experience and based on collective agreement between SOS Børnebyerne and Danish Confederation of Professional Associations (AC).
  • Pension and health insurance scheme.
  • A full-time position with a 37-hour workweek, including lunchbreak.
