Build the global engine behind ABENA’s digital growth

Today, ABENA’s digital sales generate a significant three‑digit EUR million revenue, driven by great local initiatives across markets, channels, and customer segments. The opportunity now is to connect the dots: align platforms, customer journeys, data, and commercial logic so it becomes genuinely easy to do business with ABENA - no matter the market, channel, or customer type.

This is not about starting from scratch. It’s about becoming great!

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the development and implementation of a global e‑commerce strategy aligned with ABENA’s corporate goals and brand values.
  • Owning and optimizing global e‑commerce P&L performance, including sales, margins, and customer acquisition costs.
  • Driving digital customer experience, ensuring secure, compliant, and premium online journeys across web and mobile.
  • Leading cross‑functional collaboration with regional teams, marketing, IT, logistics, and finance to deliver integrated growth.
  • Establishing KPIs and analytics frameworks to monitor performance, compliance, and innovation across all online channels.
  • Building and managing a high‑performing global e‑commerce team, fostering agility, accountability, and best practices.

This role is about bringing people together around one clear digital direction. You align global and local teams across sales, IT, marketing, logistics, and finance — turning different priorities into shared momentum. With full ownership of global digital sales performance, you drive growth by building trust, setting direction, and making complexity feel manageable and actionable. You lead through influence, clarity, and strong relationships, creating followership in a global organization where results come from collaboration, not control.

What we hope you bring

  • Proven track record in global e‑commerce leadership, ideally within highly regulated environments such as healthcare, MedTech, or industries closely connected to the public sector.
  • Experience scaling multi‑market operations, with strong commercial acumen and P&L responsibility.
  • Deep understanding of digital marketing compliance, UX/UI, CRM, analytics, and ERP/e‑commerce platforms.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to drive cross‑organizational alignment.
  • Fluency in English; additional major languages (e.g. German, French) are an advantage.
  • Preferred: Background in B2B or healthcare, omnichannel strategies, and familiarity with international trade regulations.

The role offers a flexible hybrid setup, combining remote work with regular on‑site collaboration. You should expect to be present in Aabenraa, Southern Denmark, around three days every other week to build strong relationships and drive alignment across teams.
