IT Systems & Applications Manager - Go Nordic Cruiseline

Are you ready to come onboard a company in transformation?

We are seeking an IT Systems & Applications Manager for our IT department. You will be at the heart of our operations - ensuring smooth, secure, and effective day-to-day IT while helping build the foundation for our long-term goals.

As IT Systems & Applications Manager, you will oversee our organization’s IT infrastructure and all business-critical applications. In this hybrid role, you will support both stable, secure systems and user-friendly applications, bridging the gap between technology and business needs. You will act as both a technical specialist, a business partner, and a facilitator between our IT and business teams. You will be a key player in our ongoing development.

Primary Responsibilities

Infrastructure & System Administration

  • Install, configure, and maintain servers, networks, and endpoint devices.
  • Monitor performance, security, and availability—ensuring maximum uptime.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and security policies.
  • Oversee backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
  • Apply patches, perform upgrades, and maintain IT security compliance.

Application Management

  • Serve as primary owner for core business applications (ERP, CRM, HR, Finance, etc.).
  • Manage application lifecycle: implementation, upgrades, and retirement.
  • Act as liaison between business, IT, and external vendors.
  • Resolve application incidents and coordinate enhancements.
  • Ensure applications integrate smoothly with other systems and business processes.

Cross-functional Tasks

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and data protection requirements and knowledge of NIS2 framework.
  • Maintain clear documentation for systems, applications, and procedures.
  • Train and support end-users on applications and digital tools.
  • Identify and drive process automation and continuous improvement initiatives.

Who are you?

There are many possible paths into this role – and you might not tick all the below points, but we still encourage you to apply, as we value a variety of backgrounds and experiences.

However, a good starting point would be if you possess some or several of these qualifications:

  • Experience in both system administration and application management.
  • Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows/Linux/macOS), networks, and security.
  • Familiarity with ITIL best practices (incident, change, and problem management).
  • Understanding of cloud platforms and SaaS solutions.
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g. Microsoft, CompTIA, ITIL, VMware) are an advantage.
  • A positive, detail-oriented, and collaborative colleague.

Why join us?

At Go Nordic Cruiseline, you will:

  • Be part of a company with strong human values as a core focus.
  • Gain a key role in a business developing rapidly and building the future.
  • Have ownership and responsibility during a busy and exciting period.
  • Influence how we work with IT, culture, and business operations.
  • Enjoy attractive terms, including pension, staff restaurant and fitness agreements, and staff travel experiences on our ships.
  • Join a workplace where engagement, trust, and well-being are prioritized.

Ready to set sail with us?

Send your CV and a short cover letter in English no later than October 17th.
