S Skolemad ApS is growing and looking for a skilled and motivated Sous Chef to support our Head Chef and kitchen team. We deliver healthy, high-quality meals to schools and institutions, with a strong focus on nutrition, efficiency, and food safety.

Job Responsibilities

As a Sous Chef, your tasks will include:

• Assisting the Head Chef with daily kitchen operations
• Preparing and cooking high-quality meals for school canteens
• Supervising kitchen staff and ensuring smooth workflow
• Helping plan menus, production schedules, and food prep
• Ensuring compliance with hygiene and food safety (HACCP)
• Organising stock, deliveries, and inventory control
• Maintaining consistent taste, quality, and presentation
• Stepping in as acting Head Chef when required

Qualifications

We expect that you:

• Have experience as a Sous Chef, Chef, or Senior Cook
• Are structured, reliable, and able to take initiative
• Can lead and support a kitchen team
• Thrive in a busy production kitchen
• Have strong knowledge of food hygiene standards
• Communicate clearly (English is sufficient)
• Are positive, solution-oriented, and quality-focused

Formal chef training is an advantage, but strong professional kitchen experience is equally valuable.
